Press Release:

Following several discussions between the Texico Municipal Schools' Board of Education and Superintendent Robert Brown, the Board and Superintendent determined that their respective visions for the District's future are no longer aligned.  The Board and Superintendent agreed that a leadership change is necessary and in the best interests of the District.  The Board wishes to thank Mr. Brown for his years of service to the students of the Texico Municipal Schools.

Mr. Brown's final day with the District is today, June 18, 2026.

DeeRae Timberlake has been named as Interim Acting Superintendent until further notice.  More info to come in the days ahead.
