I began teaching 4th grade at Texico Elementary in 2004. I stayed in that position for 13 years until I became the School Guidence Counselor in 2017.
I began my teaching career at Farwell Junior High in the fall of 2000. I taught 7th and 8th grade English.
My husband is Rodney Wren. We were married in February of 1992. We successfully raised two wonderful children. Our son Dalton (1996) is a welder and lives in Artesia, NM. Audrey (1998) is married to Colby and she is finishing her Master’s of Speech and Language Sciences at Texas Tech. Both graduated from Texico High School. We currently have two dogs. Dixie is a cross between a Great Pyrenese and Andalusian Hound. Hooey is a Dachshud. We have two cats of mixed breed: LaLa and Tang.
When I am not counseling, I enjoy paddleboarding, water skiing, hiking, snow skiing, decorating and reading. I love to spend time with my family in the outdoors camping and just relaxing.
I love to have coffee with my girl friends and we are contemplating the beginnings of a podcast!
